Gor Mahia prove too good for Sony Sugar at Moi Stadium while drama ensues at Afraha as Tusker save their game against Ulinzi Stars with an equalizer in time added on in the second half on Saturday.

Sony Sugar 1-2 Gor Mahia (Moi Stadium)

Burly midfielder Ernest Wendo sent Gor Mahia ahead in the 21st minute, breaking loose in the middle and firing a stern shot past the stationary Sony Sugar custodian Kelvin Otieno.

The sugar millers replied 10 minutes later when January acquisition George Abege beat Boniface Oluoch with his effort.

Rwandan Meddie Kagere, who scored in K’Ogalo’s 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz last weekend, was at it again, coming off the bench to restore the visitor’s lead four minutes after the restart.

Tusker 1-1 Ulinzi Stars (Afraha Stadium)

Veteran striker Stephen Waruru scored in the 77th minute to put Ulinzi ahead as he recorded his first goal of the season, connecting well with Daniel Waweru’s cross.

The soldiers looked to have done enough only for Tusker’s new signing Hassan Abdalla to grab a late, late winner.
