Gor Mahia strike twice to shut out Nakumatt, Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo share the spoils at Nyayo as Tusker come from behind to salvage draw against Western Stima at Kinoru in Sunday matches.

Kariobangi Sharks 1-1 Zoo Kericho (Nyayo Stadium)

All the goals came in an eventful second half.

Sharks Ebrima Sanneh broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a powerful shot home from the right wing. The goal was cancelled 13 minutes later when Zoo’s new signing Danson Namasaka guided a rebound ball home from close range after his initial shot had bounced back into play off the cross bar.

Gor Mahia 2-0 Nakumatt (Nyayo Stadium)

K’Ogalo went up in the fifth minute when Eugene Ambulwa, in an effort to clear a free-kick floated into the area by Godfrey Walusimbi, headed the ball into this own net.

Former international George “Blackberry Odhiambo” confirmed the victory in the 89th minute when he collected the ball and drove into in enemy territory a swift counterattack that ended with him placing the ball calmly past Nakumatt goalkeeper Sammy Okinda – a typical goal from this very direct attacking player.

Tusker 1-1 Posta Rangers (Kinoru Stadium)

On form striker Dennis Mukaisi scored the opener, his sixth of the season, from the spot just eight minutes after kick off to hand Posta Rangers a brilliant start against the formidable league defending champions.

Tusker’s new signing Boniface Muchiri got on the end of a neat pass from Martin Kizza to bury his effort home for the equalizer in the 43rd minute.
