The goals came in the bagful at Ruaraka as Muhoroni Youth beat Nakumatt while Western Stima floored travelling Bandari as both AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars were held to draws in Saturday’s matches.

Nakumatt 3-4 Muhoroni Youth (Ruaraka ground)

Collins Agade drilled an unstoppable shot into the net in the 10th minute to give Muhoroni the lead that was doubled five minutes to the break by Hassan Kiyoyi.

Nakumatt hit the ground running in the second half pulling a goal back on 68 minutes via Kennedy Onyango only for Muhoroni to return their two goals cushion three minutes later when John Njoroge found the target.

Kiyoyi completed his brace in the 78th minute with an expertly taken penalty as Muhoroni went 4-1 up.

The retailers got two quick fire goals in the 81st and 86th minutes through Peter Nzuki and Faruk Mudoola but their threatened dramatic comeback ran out of time.

Sony Sugar 1-1 Ulinzi Stars (Awendo Green Stadium)

David Simiyu outpaced his markers to beat Ulinzi goalkeeper James Saruni for the match opener.

Ulinzi relentless pressure finally told in the second half as Cliff Kasuti equalized, Bernard Ongoma the provider.

Western Stima 2-1 Bandari (Moi Stadium)

Stima went ahead at the half hour mark when Robert Achema smashed home a cross sent delivered by Ugandan Villa Oromchan.

Darius Msagha levelled matters for Bandari in the 48th minute after combining well with Abdalla Hassan.

The busy Oromchan then scored the decisive goal late in the second half with a low drive that proved too hot to handle for Bandari custodian Wilson Obungu.

Zoo Kericho 1-0 Kakamega Homeboyz (Kericho Green Stadium)

Danson Namasaka scored the only goal of the match unleashing a venomous right-footed shot in the 38th minute that sailed straight and true to hand the league debutants victory.

The result marked Homeboyz’ first defeat in nine games, but they retain their third position on the table.

And at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, the anticipated explosive encounter between Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards flattered to deceive in a rather disappointing 0-0 outcome. Chances were indeed created but no team had the cutting edge.
