Sony Sugar FC, Chemelil Sugar FC and Ulinzi picked wins over Sofapaka, Nzoia Sugar FC and Vihiga United respectively while Zoo FC held Nakumatt FC to a 1-1 draw in Round 23 matches played on Sunday 15th July.

Sony Sugar FC 2-0 Sofapaka

Sony Sugar registered the most shocking results of the day, beating Sofapaka 2-0 at the Green Stadium in Awendo. Kelvin Wesonga, who joined the team from Chemelil Sugar during the midseason transfer window, opened the scoring a minute before halftime while Enock Agwanda completed the job with a well taken strike in 69th minute. Sony move up to 14th on the log after the win while Sofapaka remain second behind reigning champions Gor Mahia.

Chemelil Sugar 1-0 Nzoia Sugar 

At the Chemelil Complex, Felix Oluoch’s strike is all that made the difference as Chemelil beat Nzoia Sugar FC by a solitary goal.

Vihiga United 0-2 Ulinzi Stars 

At the Mumias Sports Complex, Ulinzi Stars upped their tempo after a goalless first half to secure three points from Vihiga United, the goals coming in courtesy of Oliver Ruto in the 5oth minute and Oscar Wamalwa in the 65th minute.

Nakumatt FC 1-1 Zoo FC 

Nakumatt’s fine run was halted by a hard fighting Zoo FC at the Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi. Boniface Mukhekhe scored from the spot in the 64th minute after Tom Adwar was fouled in the box. Zoo fought hard in search of the equalizer and were rewarded in the 88th minute when Nicholas Kipkirui converted from the spot after Charles Bruno handled the ball in the box.
