KCB FC and Sony Sugar FC were the only winners in SportPesa Premier League matches played on Saturday 18th May. 

Kariobangi Sharks 2-3 KCB FC 

KCB’s resurgence continued with a 3-2 win over Kariobangi Sharks in a match played at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani.

Ezekiel Odera opened the scoring in the 10th minute from the spot and they held on to the lead until the 53rd minute when Duke Abuya restored parity from the spot too after Erick Kapaito was brought down in the box. KCB pulled out Odera after conceding and replaced him with Chrispinus Onyango and the latter put them ahead once again in the 61st minute. He completed his brace with a well-taken goal four minutes later. George Abege, who had come in for Vincent Wasambo pulled one back for Sharks with two minutes to stoppage time as the Bankers held on to win the match.

Mt Kenya United 1-3 Sony Sugar FC 

Sony Sugar moved to fifth on the log after a well-deserved 3-1 win over Mt Kenya United at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Derick Otango grabbed a quick first-half brace with Salmon Omollo making it 3-0 in favour of the visitors just after the break. Brian Nyakan pulled a late consolation for Mt Kenya who are now officially relegated from the SportPesa Premier League.

Nzoia Sugar FC 1-1 Sofapaka 

Nzoia Sugar FC and Sofapaka played to a 1-1 draw at Sudi in Bungoma. Patrick Otieno gave the hosts the lead in the 28th minute from the spot after Stephen Etyang was brought down in the box by Mousa Omar. Kasumba levelled matters in the 77th minute, his 17th goal of the season.

Posta Rangers 0-0 Kakamega Homeboyz 

Posta Rangers and Kakamega Homeboyz played to a barren draw at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
