Kakamega Homeoyz and Zoo FC started their 2019/20 campaign with wins over AFC Leopards and Zoo FC respectively on Sunday afternoon.
Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 AFC Leopards
A late Stephen Etyang goal was all home side Kakamega Homeboys needed to edge AFC Leopards at the Bukhungu Stadium.
Zoo FC 3-1 Chemelil Sugar
Kepha Ondati grabbed a brace with Derrick Anami scored one as Zoo FC started their season on a high by edging Chemelil Sugar 3-1 at the Green Stadium in Kericho. The Sugar Millers’ consolation was scored by Rashid Athman.
Zoo Head Coach Herman Iswekha lauded the boys after the win saying; “We have worked really hard during the pre-season to sharpen the team and I am happy it paid off. The boys followed instructions and I must laud them for that. We have a good team this season and I am optimistic we will do well.”
