Nineteen players including 17 from the SportPesa Premier League have been called up to a Harambee Stars camp ahead of a friendly international match against Mozambique in Maputo on September 2.

Kariobangi Sharks striker Masoud Juma, Gor Mahia’s Boniface Oluoch and AFC Leopards Victor Majid are the more familiar faces in the squad that also has Mathare United up and coming youngster Chris Ochieng.

There are also two rare call-ups from the National Super League in the name of Bernard Ochieng from Vihiga United and Joe Waithira from Wazito.

The local-based players are expected to report to camp on Sunday, August 20 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi and will be under coach Stanley Okumbi.

The friendly is part of Harambee Stars’ build-up for the 2018 African Nations Championships that will be held in Kenya in January.
