Posta Rangers defeated Zoo Kericho 1-0 at the Ruaraka grounds in Nairobi in the only match on Monday.

Second half replacement Geoffrey Kataka scored the only goal of the game, a cracker, 10 minutes after his introduction, and at the death to decide the match.

Simon Mbugua picked the super substitute who confidently placed his shot past Zoo goalkeeper Vincent Misikhu in the second minute of added time to end the Kericho-based side’s four-match unbeaten run.

Rangers were guided to this win by assistant coach George Maina on the touchline as Sammy Omollo is still serving a six-match ban meted out on him last month for violent conduct.

Rangers, who beat Zoo by a similar score line in their first leg meeting, climbed up to fifth on the log. They next face Western Stima away as Zoo host Thika United in Kericho.
