Gor Mahia striker Ephrem Guikan, who collided with Tusker FC custodian Duncan Ochieng during their Round 3 match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday 28th February, is out of danger and recovering well.
The Ivorian striker suffered concussion and was attended to promptly by Tusker FC doctor Wycliffe Makanga on the pitch before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

We express our appreciation to Dr Wycliffe Makanga for his compassion and adherence to oath of practice. His quick intervention not only saved the player’s life, but also played a major role in setting him on the path to a speedy recovery.
We would also like to thank everyone that was involved in ensuring the player receives the attention he required at the time of need.
