Nzoia Sugar FC, Mathare United, Bandari and Chemelil Sugar FC all registered wins in Round 29 matches played across different venues over the weekend.

Saturday 1st September 

Nzoia Sugar FC 1-0 Vihiga United 

Brian Otieno scored the winner for Nzoia in the first minute of the match played at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma. Edgar Nzano was fouled by Vincent Wonder on the edge of the box and Festus Okiring took the resultant freekick, finding Brian Otieno with a good cross and the latter headed in powerfully past Vihiga United custodian Geoffrey Oputi.

Mathare United 2-0 Kakamega Homeboyz

Mathare United  beat Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 in an entertaining match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Cliff Nyakeya opened the scoring for the Slum Boys in the 21st minute with a calm finish from close range and Ronald Reagan doubled the lead in the 52nd minute.

Sony Sugar FC 0-1 Bandari FC

Bandari’s ascendancy continued with a hard fought 1-0 win over Sony Sugar FC in Awendo, the solitary goal coming in courtesy of Wycliffe Ochomo with just six minutes to stoppage time.

The Dockers are now unbeaten in 12 matches and their custodian Farouk Shikalo has now kept 18 clean sheets.

Sunday 2nd September

Chemelil Sugar 0-1 Posta Rangers

A Titus Achesa vicious freekick at the edge of the box at the half hours mark was all Posta Rangers needed to beat Chemelil Sugar FC in a match played at the Chemelil Complex.

Gor Mahia will host Zoo FC at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday 5th September to mark the end of Round 29 fixtures.
