Four matches were played across different venues as the SportPesa Premier League entered Round 7 on Saturday 12th January. 

AFC Leopards 0-1 KCB FC

KCB FC finally registered their first win of the season as they beat AFC Leopards by a solitary goal in an entertaining match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Kennedy Owino’s strike in the fifth minute proved to be the match-winner as the Bankers held on to pick their first three points of the season.

Tusker FC 1-2 Mathare United

At the Ruaraka Stadium in Nairobi, Mathare United’s fine form persisted as they beat hosts Tusker FC. Johnstone Omurwa opened the scoring in the 24th minute and the impressive James Kinyanjui doubled the lead in the 69th. Peter Nzuki pulled one back for the Brewers in the 79th minute.

Mt Kenya United 1-2 Bandari FC

At the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, Bandari beat struggling Mt Kenya United 2-1 in an early kickoff game. Hassan Abdallah opened the scoring in the 20th minute. Mt Kenya United custodian Lucas Indeche was sent off after a second bookable offence that resulted in a penalty and William Wadri converted it to double the lead for the visitors. Felly Mulumba scored an own goal in an attempt to clear a Brian Nyakan cross to gift the home side a consolation goal.

Kakamega Homeboyz 1-1 Zoo FC

At the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, Kakamega Homeboyz and Zoo FC settled for a 1-1 draw. Newton Ondari gave Zoo the lead seconds after kick-off but Kenyan International Allan Wanga levelled matters in the 35th minute to ensure the teams share spoils.
