Five matches were played across different venues on Saturday 23rd April with the highlight being Bandari going top of the log after solitary goal win over Nzoia Sugar FC in Mombasa. 

Bandari FC 1-0 Nzoia Sugar FC 

Captain Felly Mulumba scored the lone goal from the spot as Bandari edged Nzoia 1-0 at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa. The team now tops the log with 31 points from 14 matches.

Mathare United 2-0 AFC Leopards

Second half substitutes Tyson Otieno and Ronald Reagan made all the difference for the Slum Boys as they beat struggling AFC Leopards 2-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Mathare is second on the log with 29 points from 15 matches while AFC continues to languish at second bottom with 10 points having played 14 matches.

Posta Rangers 1-1 Ulinzi Stars 

Posta Rangers and Ulinzi Stars also played to a 1-1 draw in an entertaining match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. John Nairuka opened the scoring for Posta but Ulinzi’s fast-rising midfielder Ibrahim Shamba levelled matters with 10 minutes to stoppage time.

Chemelil Sugar FC 1-1 KCB FC

Chemelil Sugar FC and KCB FC played to a 1-1 draw in a rain-soaked Chemelil Complex. Justine Monda opened the scoring for the home side in the 10th minute from the spot but Philip Mwangale scored in his own net to equalize for the Bankers.

Kakamega Homeboyz 2-2 Sofapaka 

Kakamega Homeboyz and Sofapaka also played to an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega. Umaru Kasumba’s strike in the 44th minute is what separated the two sides heading into the break. Second half sub Maxwel Ravel equalized for Homeboyz in the 51st minute with a rasping shot and Allan Wanga put them ahead for the first time in the match with a well-taken penalty in the 72nd minute and they held on until the 90th minute when Brian Magonya salvaged a point for Batoto ba Mungu.
