Only two matches were played over the weekend with Vihiga United and Kakamega Homeboyz picking wins over Mt Kenya United and Mathare United respectively. 

Mt Kenya United 2-3 Vihiga United 

Mt Kenya United woes persisted as they succumbed to a 2-3 loss at the hands of Vihiga United in a match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday 16th March.

Vihiga lead 2-0 at the breather courtesy of goals by Christopher Masinza and loanee Lawrence Luvanda. Timonah Wanyonyi pulled one back for Vihiga in the 53rd minute but Masinza made it 3-1 with a well-taken goal in the 69th minute. Musa Ekai reduced the deficit for Mt Kenya in the 71st minute but the visitors held on to pick the three points.

Kakamega Homeboyz 2-1 Mathare United

Kakamega Homeboyz beat Mathare United 2-1 in an entertaining clash staged at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Sunday 18th March.

James Kinyanjui opened the scoring for the Slum Boys in the 2nd minute after combining well with Cliff Nyakeya. Allan Wanga levelled the scores with a fine effort in the 21st minute and Maxwell Ravel scored the winner just 10 minutes later after beating the offside trap.
