Sony Sugar FC were the only winners of the day as three matches marked the end Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Sunday Round 3 action.

Sony Sugar FC 1-0 Zoo FC

Sony Sugar FC had David Simiyu to thank as his goal was all that made a difference against the visiting Zoo FC in a match played at the Green Stadium in Awendo.

Both teams had a fair number of goal scoring chances that were never converted but Simiyu ensured the home side got the maximum points with a fine strike. Following the result, Sony Sugar moves third in the log with six points from 3 matches while Zoo

Vihiga United 0-0 Posta Rangers

Vihiga United and Posta Rangers played to a barren draw in a match played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Gearson Likono tormented the Vihiga defenders from the onset with his trickery on the ball and could have gifted Posta Rangers the lead in the tenth minute after he beat two defenders but his shot was dealt with by Vihiga custodian Barnabas Tiema.  Veteran Charles Okwemba missed a good opportunity after a fine delivery by Andrew Murunga on the left flank as the game went to the breather tied in a barren draw.

Osborne Monday’s hard shot at the hour’s mark was the only real threat during the second half but Tiema did well to deny him, match ending 0-0, marking the third consecutive for Posta Rangers.

Thika United 0-0 Bandari FC

Bandari held Thika United to a goalless draw in an entertaining match played at the Thika Sub County Stadium. The result leaves Thika United 14th on the log with 2 points from 3 matches while Bandari is fourth with five points from the same number of matches.
