Sofapaka bounced back from their KPL Round One loss to Bandari by beating Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 in one of the three Round Two matches played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.  Elli Asieche, who joined Batoto ba Mungu from Kariobangi Sharks during the January transfer window, scored the all important goal to ensure the team travels back to Nairobi with maximum points.

Nakumatt FC 3-3 Thika United 

In another entertaining match played at the Ruaraka Stadium, Nakumatt FC and Thika United played to a 3-3 draw. Masakidi Mata grabbed a brace for Thika, getting his first in the sixth minute before Saad Musa Abdalla scored at the quarter hour mark to make it 2-0 in favour of Thika.

Cornelius Juma pulled one back for Nakumatt in the 32nd minute but Thika responded by raiding them more and were rewarded in the 43rd minute, Mata scoring his second for the day. The drama was far from over as Donald Musoti scored for Nakumatt just before the break, game going into halftime with Thika leading 3-2. Brian Nyakan grabbed the equalizer in for Nakumatt in the 85th minute and both teams continued to push for the winner but it was never to be.

Bandari 0-0 Chemelil Sugar FC 

Bandari and Chemelil Sugar FC played to a barren draw in the other KPL Round 2 match played at the Mbaraki Sports Club

Gor Mahia 2-0 Leones Vegeterianos (CAF CL)

Reigning Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia kicked off their CAF Champions League campaign with a well deserved 2-0 over Leones Vegeterianos in a match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos courtesy of goals by Kevin “Ade” Omondi and Ivorian Ephrem Guikan who scored with his first touch after coming in the second half.
